Hiking Trails

Your summer vacation to Colorado begins with exploring the guided and unguided hiking trails of Beaver Creek. Experience the soaring promethean heights of rock meeting sky. Ignite imagination and enjoy a sense of accomplishment as you rise in elevation towards ever-expanding spaces. Rest in shaded meadows, breathe the fresh mountain air and sweet scents of mountain wildflowers, and refresh your feet in unmapped mountain streams. This is the land where dreams are discovered.

Consisting of three trails, Beaver Creek's Hike-ology program is designed to introduce youngsters to the environment that surrounds them.  Pick up your brochure and trail guide before you set out at the Beaver Creek Hiking Center, open 9:00am-4:00pm daily, mid-June through September.

 Beaver Creek Activities

Discover Colorado on horseback. Visit a ranch in the Vail Valley and experience Colorado as it was a hundred year ago. Enjoy family activities such as cattle drives, horseback riding, fishing and more.  Finish your day with a true Western barbecue with some of the finest cooking this side of the Continental Divide. 

For indoor activities, The Beaver Creek Children's Museum offers activities for children and adults alike. With special presentations and visits from “Smoky the Bear,” these are educational experiences your entire family will enjoy. In the evenings, visit the Vail Valley Performing Arts Center, showcasing a variety of year-round performances including classical, Broadway /musical, family performances and a variety of concerts.

In the winter months, try our Ski School. Take refresher courses and enlist the youngest in the family to take up their skis and learn from world-renowned instructors. Ice-skating, snowball fights, and building snowmen are also recommended.
